This weekend, Brick Fair descends on the Garden State Exhibit Center in Somerset, NJ. November 1st and 2nd from 11:00am until 4:00pm each day there will be Lego models owala , displays, trains and automobiles covering 58,000 square feet of the convention center. The cost is $10 at the door, and children under 3 get free entry. Brick Fair puts on annual conventions in New Jersey, Alabama, New Hampshire and Virginia and if you have never attended one, I highly suggest checking it out. Builders from across the United States feature their projects and passion for Lego. There are always amazing models on display and a bunch of other activities, hands on stuff and of course giveaways and prizes. The New York Times experimented with paid content before, without much success, but that not stopping them from giving it a go again. This time, however, the paid-to-free content changeover might coincide with a certain unconfirmed mystery tablet. If you ;ve got the space and a real keen eye鈥攁nd love zoomed in 4:3鈥攖hen you could go with 720p, but for most needs and for most people, 480p is fine. Clearly aiming for the same market as the EEE PC, Kojinsha new E8 UMPC has the added bonus of being a touchscreen tablet. It does, however, beat me how the Korean-made E8 is being labelled by some as a UMPC鈥攊t looks more like a sub-notebook to me. The E8 runs Windows XP, has an AMD Geode LX800 CPU under the hood along with a 40GB hard drive, and its seven inch screen has 1024 x 600-pixel resolution.
