The lobbyists register was introduced to increase transparency about EU policymaking and the different interest groups involved.In its entry on the register, Cefic had de stanley cup clared that its lobbying costs in 2007 were less than 鈧?0,000. This prompted a complaint from Friends of the Earth Europe, a conservation group, which said that the costs were unrealistically low because they did not include the costs of staff, publications or events.
